Krehalon developed this revolutionary technology to address the Fresh Meat industry needs for minimising blood drip in packaging and achieving the perfect ‘skin tight’ pack presentation whilst preserving product quality through shelf life.
SSL™ minimises blood microbial spoilage in the bag. This allows broader geographical distribution of packed fresh meat products.
SSL™ uses special sealant materials to allow the inner packaging layers to fuse together through the normal production processes of vacuum packing and hot water shrinkage.

SSL™ is well-suited for automated packing, particularly Flovac™. Automated Shrink Bag Replacement (SBR™) systems reduce the risk of high contamination related to manual bag loading and help achieve effective secondary seal. Combining SSL™ with SBR™ can provide a ‘step change’ in pack presentation whilst driving down real pack costs.
